The HP LaserJet CM6030 provides both color and black-and-white prints. Users can make copies, scan a document or picture and send a fax. The digital sending option allows the sending of a scanned image to a network folder or an email address. A four-line touch screen graphical display is available with easy front-door access for removing and installing printer cartridges.
This printer measures 27.7 inches wide by 26.5 inches deep by 47.9 inches tall. Total weight of the unit is 307.7 pounds when the printer cartridges are included. Used with the printer is a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, a 100-sheet multipurpose paper tray and two 500-sheet paper trays. Paper capacity of this unit is 1,150 sheets with a 500-sheet output bin. Printer cartridge colors include black, cyan, yellow and magenta. Replacement cartridges are available directly from HP.
Image resolution is provided by HP ImageREt 4800 technology. The default resolution is 600 x 600 DPI and has a best resolution of 1200 x 600. Time delay for the first print of a page is 16 seconds. The duty cycle of the printer is 200,000 pages with a monthly volume of 5,000 to 10,000 pages. Two-sided printing is an automatic feature with the included duplexer. Print speed is up to 30 pages per minute.
The printer uses an 835 MHz processor and has 512 MB of base memory. Expansion slots can be used to expand the available memory to 768 MB. Connecting the printer to a network or computer is done with a USB connector cable. The device also has one EIP port, a fax port and FIH port. Operating systems to use with the HP LaserJet CM6030 include Windows, Apple Mac OS 10 and Red Hat Linus. This device can also be used for printer sharing by using the HP JetDirect Gigabit Ethernet print server.
